Light and heavy. Shopping and the start of Israel's downfall.
Damn that Shopaholics book. Makes me itch for shopping. I'm halfway through it, and already I want to buy new pairs of shoes, bags, clothes, books, makeup etc etc etc.
I read in the lifestyle section of the newspaper today about wardrobe swapping among friends. It's basically exchanging clothes, shoes, accessories that are still in good condition with your friends. But these items has to be those that you're never going to use again, or can't fit in anymore. Sounds interesting. I do have a lot of clothing items that I don't want to wear anymore. I even have those that I haven't worn that I don't want to wear, ever.
I've thought of selling the stuff but I really don't want to get a booth at a flea market and end up just making enough to cover the rental. As for creating an online shop? I'm a noob, I dunno how. Plus I'm not really interested to do it that way.
So, who wants to swap clothes & accessories with me? (No shoes tho)
On a more serious note, you would have read about and heard the news of the Israeli attack of the aid flotilla that was headed to Gaza. Stupid move on Israel's part in my opinion (and I think many others). First, it's on international waters and it's headed to the Gaza strip, not Israel. Secondly, the ships carried items intended for aid, not weapons. Third, why the fuck is there a blockade anyway? Attacking activists, aid workers and journalists from a large number of countries shipping items intended for the people trapped in the siege feels the same as declaring war innit?
Now whatever political intentions that the flotilla organisers tried to make are clearly heard the world over, and the hate for Israel the country is deepening. There are those who argue that the land belong to Jews, etc etc, that's almost like saying all the Europeans should get the fuck out from all the countries they terrorised and stolen from the natives. Get out of America, get out of Australia, get out of Africa. And it's even funnier when Israel-defending comments come from fellow Malaysians. Then all of us should get the fuck out and return to Indonesia, China, India, Thailand and other countries where our ancestors came from.
The problem is not just religious; it's politics, greed and a blinding superiority complex and with Hitler and Britain's help, the "promised land" was born, thus creating what I feel to be the longest continuing siege of people ever. So much so that for a while I felt that this issue will still be around until the end of time.
Pro-Israel peeps will go - but they provoked the commandos, they attacked the soldiers with knives, etc etc. Those who are Pro-Palestine will go - they shot at the boat in international waters that's heading to Gaza, they boarded the boats and roughed us up. I say, if my boat's in international waters and some thugs in uniforms storm it I would kick their ass and throw them overboard too!
The worst is when they say these peace flotillas shouldn't give any aid to Gaza because it's not under siege. With every PR cover up the Israeli government pull, the more stupid they begin to sound. And the more it seems that they want the people of Gaza to suffer. And the more prison-like Gaza becomes.
God listens to the prayers of the weak and helpless sooner or later. It just seems that it happens later, because obviously us humans are responsible to help each other. The downfall of Israel has begun, and one very fine day, its name will be as dirty as the Nazis and its leaders as despised as Hitler.
Ironic innit?
