Bookworm

I read 109 books in 2019. The year before that around 65 books, and around 43 the year prior and 35 or 36 books in 2016.

I'm not sure how I could make that exponential jump in 4 years. But there are some tips, if anyone's asking:

  1. Have a massive TBR pile to make me feel guilty of not reading them
  2. Watch less TV or Netflix or whatever
  3. And try to avoid binge watching shows (although I cheated during quarantine when I got hooked on Money Heist)
  4. Read what I would enjoy or think I would enjoy
  5. Be generous with the writers, give them good reviews or 5 stars
  6. Don't give a shit whether the books I read appeal to the intellectuals (and the pretentious)
  7. Sign up at bookstores everywhere
  8. Never say no to a book or several when visiting a bookstore
  9. Don't sleep much
Anyway, here are the books I read in 2019, shown backwards from December to January (last to first).

My recommendations, based on this list, will come in the next post.
