Weekend getaway
When we reached the sixth month mark of our relationship last month, the quarter took me for a short weekend getaway. We found a place in the city called Villa Samadhi. It's nestled in one of the posh neighbourhoods off Jalan Ampang, very unassuming; but a stark contrast to the rest with it's Balinese resort look and feel.
We stayed at the Luxe Crib, and it has it's own outdoor jacuzzi which was awesome. On the first day, we just relaxed at the jacuzzi and hung out in the room (it was a huge room), and that night we dressed up for dinner at Alexis, which was nearby.
We had a nice long dinner and chat, accompanied by the soothing jazz sounds from Michael Veerapen and band. They had Rachel Guerzo come up and sing a few songs as well. Let's just say, next time she sends a Facebook invite for her show I'm not gonna dismiss it. Her voice is like Bebel Gilberto!
It was a beautiful morning the next day, and we hung out at the pool after breakfast. My skintone probably changed a teeny weeny bit from the blazing sun. The quarter as usual, took a gazillion pictures. I think I am developing that habit as well. After checking out, we did what normal Malaysians do on weekends, We went to the mall. And because we happened to be in KL city, we went to Pavilion.
Lunch, some walkabouts then we decided to get out of there. I can say that I'm starting to enjoy these little weekend getaways. It's refreshing, and it's wonderful to do something different for a special weekend without traveling far.
And the best thing about this weekend getaways with the quarter is that I get to spend the entire time with him. Which is better than anything else in the world, really. :)
