I wish you could live forever

Today my father turns 58. Like any daughter who loves her father, I wish he could live forever.

I'm not especially close to my father as in, we don't discuss personal things like we do with mothers. But it's him that I look up to when discussing politics, history, sports, current events and sometimes when I need financial advice, my father is the person to turn to.

He still babies me on certain things, and he probably thinks I am so poor that whenever I offer to pay for anything he will reject it outright or laugh at me. And yes, I am all of 29 and I still receive raya angpow from him.
