Goodbyes and weddings
Went to send sister and parents to the airport with a rather large and boisterous group of family members in the early hours of morning. Felt like a zombie afterwards, catched up on sleep from 10am -2pm, woke up still looking zombified.
Ten years ago, she was the one sending me off at the airport. She was still a chubby ten year old, with short hair and the childish adoration of her big sister. Now, she's a gorgeous 20 year old, embarking on a fantabulous new journey that I hope she will enjoy to the fullest.
I can't wait to be able to visit, hopefully next year. Please God, whisper to the bosses for a pay rise, or at least the chance for a side job that pays in Singapore dollars again. Thank you, love you.
Starting tomorrow it's back to work, hope we will have a lot more jobs that pay in the / above the 100k figure, and that they will pay promptly. As if.
Had a chance to catch up with a friend last night at another friend's open house. Haven't seen her for some time, so finally got to sit face to face and talk about what really happened between her and another friend. Finally got to listen to the other side of the story. It's a shame that the friend that fell out with her felt that way. These things can easily be resolved if he had at least confronted her or spoke to her about what he's not happy about.
Have to go get ready for my 2nd cousin's wedding. Haven't seen him for ages...as a matter of fact was quite surprised he's getting married. There were whispers that he might be gay. Well I wouldn't know, and lookie he's getting married, to a woman! So the moral of the story is - don't gossip about people!
