Loser? Look in the mirror sweetheart.
I felt fairly irritated this morning when I read someone's status that said: Marriages are for losers, who need reassurance that they won't die alone. I mean, what's up with these bitter singletons? Being married, I obviously feel a bit offended at the choice of words. Losers? C'mon.
Obviously this particular singleton feels that married people are those nerds who don't have a life and that they need some hand holding everywhere they go and for whatever they do. What this singleton doesn't know is that, married people have more sex than she and most singletons (especially female) will ever have and yes, a companion during old age while they live alone, probably with their cat / dog that they call their grandkids. And they also have lives far richer than hers ever will and are mostly independent people.
Ok I'm being a little nasty (about the sex bit..although it's true it was in the news). But seriously, what's her problem? Other people are happily single, and not bothered if people are married or engaged or in a relationship or whatsoever. More power to them right? Were people bugging her about her rather large unmarried arse? Is she just jealous? Is her boyfriend sleeping with other people? What??!!
There are pros and cons to being married, and there are pros and cons to being single. The point is, it's a choice people make, and they shouldn't be judged as being something as lame and immature as losers. But then again, what do you expect from an attention seeker like that singleton?
